| Improving
Reprographics with RasterServer |
|||
| RasterServer is helping Reprographic shops in two ways: As a front-end
pre-print process it converts CAD files to raster formats, such as TIFF,
for print devices that require or perform best with raster inputs;
Additionally it is enabling Reprographics shops to offer additional
value-added services to their customers. Using RasterServer enables customers to be provided with a raster 'proof' copy of any print either before or after a print is produced. And the same raster file can then be archived for the customer, providing safe off-site storage and immediate access should reprints be required. |
The
Enterprise edition of RasterServer adds additional value: Customers
can use the RasterServer client at their own premises located anywhere
and send both conversions and associated metadata over IP to a copy of
RasterServer running at the reprographics shop. |
