 PowerCAD SiteMaster Express v3 (SiteMaster CE)

PowerCAD SiteMaster Express 3 is aimed at those users who need fast and exact results through an extremely easy to use surveying solution. This version requires virtually no learning - if you can sketch a room you can also measure and draw it with PowerCAD SiteMaster Express 3.

From your laser measurements PowerCAD SiteMaster Express 3 will draw (wall) lines and add dimensions to these lines. You can measure and draw rectangular rooms as well as rooms with non-rectangular walls (triangulation). You can add text information and VoiceNotes to your plan, sketch lines to markup (redlining) and calculate room areas.

You can export your drawings in standard CAD formats: FLX, DWG, DXF and DWF. This way your plans can enter the big CAD world. The core of all three PowerCAD SiteMaster versions is the AutoCAD compatible CAD package PowerCAD Pro 6.

PowerCAD SiteMaster Express 3 is only available for the mobile operating system Windows CE. It can be used on Pocket PCs, Windows CE Tablet PCs and other devices running Windows CE.

Requirements

Requires a pocket PC, pocket PC cell phone, handheld PC, CE tablet or industry-specific device running a supported Windows Mobile® operating system including Windows Mobile 5.0, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, Windows CE 5.0 or Windows CE .NET 5.0. Other hardware and software requirements include:

  • Min 320 x 240 screen resolution (240 x 240 "square screens" require scrolling)

  • Min 32 MB of "free" RAM on mobile device for program operation (64MB or more recommended)

  • 15 - 17 MB of free memory or extended storage space for program installation (typical installation)

  • Docking station, cradle or wireless connection between host PC and mobile device

  • Stylus or equivalent pointing device

  • A host Windows desktop or laptop PC with Microsoft ActiveSync® version 4.0 or higher installed (required for program installation, activation and host PC<>mobile device file transfer). ActiveSync is a free connection and file exchange utility included with Windows Mobile devices or available for free download from the Microsoft web site at www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile.

  • Internal or external keyboard

  • CD-ROM drive on host PC (not required for download installations)

  • Optional speaker and microphone (required for VoiceNOTE™ audio recording and playback)

  • Optional SD/CF extended memory card for increased data storage and program capacity

  • Optional (highly recommended) portable/handheld laser such as the Leica DISTO™ or Hilti PD38

  • Optional Bluetooth® wireless capacity (required for Bluetooth wireless data transfer)

  • Optional laser accessories for improved on-site productivity (e.g. mono-pole, hands-free holder, etc.)

  • Optional WI-FI communications (required for wireless email or Internet file transfer)
