Measure
Takeoff for 2D Images, Drawings, and 3D Models
The MYRIAD
viewer has comprehensive measurement tools for both 3D
and 2D CAD files, as well as scanned
image files. Regardless of the type of file you are viewing,
MYRIAD allows you to get the information you need quickly,
accurately, and easily.
For 3D models,
MYRIAD offers full geometry measurement capabilities allowing
you to:
-
measure
distance
-
measure
edge lengths
-
perform
feature to feature measurements
-
measure
the angle between two edges
-
measure
the radius of circles and arcs
-
measure
surface area and volume
-
measure
the bounding box, center of mass, and inertia tensors
Resulting
measurement takeoff values can be cut and paste into a separate
file, such as a spreadsheet or Microsoft Word file. CAD
measurements can either be displayed or placed as dimensions
within the model view, and you can dynamically change the
measurement unit, such as inches, millimeters, miles, and
kilometers. As dimensions, measurements can be published
as raster images, HTML pages, or saved as stored views.
The MYRIAD
viewer also supports calibrated measurements for image files,
such as TIFF, and 2D CAD drawings. Users simply calibrate
the scale, which is then applied to all measurements. 2D
measurement tools include distance, perimeter, and area
measurements.
